April 27th

Well, today Emma is now 2 months old. I can't believe how the time has just flown by. I really can't believe that I have to go back to work tomorrow. That is what is really hard to handle. I just keep telling myself that it is only for 16 days. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13. Well the first picture is Ethan in his church clothes. He really did not want to smile for the camera.

After church, Joey and Trystan worked in the basement. Today was an interesting day for this as Joey began jack hammering the basement floor for a bathroom (he is in the process of finishing the basement.) Besides the fact that it was really really loud and woke Ethan, Emma, and myself all up (yes, I was being a slacker and napping on the couch with Emma, I am bummed about work, I could hardly put her down today!) he also had another big delima. He jack hammered right through a water pipe. We didn't have water for part of the day but he fixed it, like always!

This was Mommy, Emma, and Ethan after Daddy woke us up.

And here is Ethan with his new toy of the day. We went to Toys R Us to get something for outside and ended up with more Geo Trax. Yes, mommy is a sucker.

April 26th Happy Birthday Papaw Butch

Well today we celebrated Papaw Butch's birthday by grilling out and enjoying the nice weather at our house. Here are Papaw Butch, Daddy, Uncle Griffin, and Aunt Jill eating dinner.

Ethan said he was "picking up dog poop." He thinks that the poop scoop is just like his shovel, hopefully Daddy got all the poop up earlier or this could get messy.

Papaw Butch enjoying his "train wreck cake" as it became known. I asked Uncle Griffin to make a cake for our Dad and this is what I got. Aunt Jill warned me that he doesn't bake, although he does like to do other cooking.

Our First Blog, April 25th

Well this is our first go at this and I am not promising anything spectacular. Some people update daily and that would be a nice goal, BUT I am making no promises, I will do my best. I guess that I will begin by sharing a few of our favorite recent photos and see how things take off from here. The first one above is actually from today. This is Ethan planting flowers at Julia's house. What you don't see here is him digging them back up which he later did.
This is also from today. Trystan is our newest superstar. He was Juliet in his school's play "The Magical Land of Oz." We are so proud of her, uh, him.

This was actually Tuesday of this week at the zoo. Emma really enjoyed the train ride, as you can see. I really enjoy putting hats on my kids, as you can see.
C-A-R-D-S Go CARDS!

This is another zoo pic. We will have many of these since the zoo is one of our favorite things to do. There is a really cool field of these lillies that I like to take his picture in.

These next 3 pics are from the air show a few weeks ago. The first picture shows Ethan just moments after we got there. He wanted to leave because the noise was so loud. He changed his tune pretty quick but that is why he has so much stuff on his ears, not because he was cold, although it was cool, but to keep the noise down. He even stole mommy's ear warmers.

Once again at the zoo. This is Ethan's favorite part of the zoo, the train ride. He loves it, but he still holds on really tight to mommy's pants, especially when we go through the "really long tunnel."

This is one of my favorite's. The kiddos were pooped. We had been down the street at Tyler's 2nd birthday party and Ethan hadn't had a nap. They both crashed pretty hard.
