June 27th

Emma helped Mommy make brownies one night this week. She liked licking the spoon clean. I know, we really are going to get better at updating this more than once a week. These pictures are from the whole past week though. We will hopefully be getting a new camera soon. We broke ours our first day in Disney World and are using Uncle Griffin's right now. Thanks Griffin.
Tuesday night Ethan had his first sleep over. Benjamin stayed the night and they did great. They didn't go to bed until around 11:30 (it was a sleep over after all!) Anyhow, Wednesday morning we had a play date with Mallory and Ellie and of course Benjamin since he spent the night and stayed home from school with us. The kids played outside in the little kiddie pool and with the sprinkler that Ellie brought over to share with us.
The boys found a worm and Emma and Ellie were right in the middle of it also.
Emma going down the slide.
She really likes the slide.
Thursday we went to Six Flags and Friday we went swimming with Madison, Morgan, and Austin (and their Mommy Aunt Candace) at Papaw's pool. Emma had ABC's for lunch.
Friday Bill and Tiffanie invited us to Chuck E Cheese, Mommy is always up for that, and then we went to buy Ethan his glove for his first tee ball game. Here are Paige and Ethan with Chuck E Cheese.
Emma only liked the little rides for about 10 seconds. She preferred climbing up and coming down the slide.

Emma liked riding the horsie.

Today was Ethan's first tee ball game at the Y. He is on the 3 year old Mets team. Today we got him there to his game and went to the field that we were at last week for his pictures. There was a team in blue out there practicing so we sent Ethan out there. I didn't see his coach and Joey made a comment about how big all the kids looked and how Ethan was a least a head shorter than all of them. He asked me what age group it was and I told him 3 maybe some 4 year olds also. Anyhow, Joey said man we really need to take him home and practice with him. These other kids really know what they are doing and Ethan is just standing out there lost. I told Joey to go out there and help him and he did. Then it was time for the game to start and so the kids all lined up to say their little pledge and Ethan looked tiny. I kept waiting for Tyler to show up and then Ethan wouldn't look so small. Tyler left right when we did, we saw him pull out of his driveway. They did their pledge, Ethan included, and then got in a team huddle and yelled "GO RANGERS!" Problem: Ethan is on the Mets. We asked the lady next to us what this age group was and she said 6-7 year olds. We went and told the coach about the mistake and took Ethan off of the field. He started cyring saying that he wanted to play his tee ball game. That was a coach pitch game. We took him over to his field with his team where he fit in much better. and he had a good time.
Rounding third and headed toward home.
Ethan coming in home after making a run.
Ethan playing pitcher. (We had to explain to him that he should face the direction of the person hitting the ball, not the direction of his own team!)
Ethan sitting on his glove waiting for his turn to bat.

Tyler with the batting helmet on (backwards!)
Ethan getting ready to go up to bat.
Knocking it out of the park.
Running to first base.
Approaching the home plate for his first homerun.
Posing for the camera after scoring his first homerun.
Ethan's biggest little fan.
Giving high fives/shaking hands of the players of the other team.
Now that all the hard work is over, it is snack time where Ethan politely says, "No thanks, I don't eat!" Isn't that the truth.
