July 13

Today Mommy took Ethan and Emma and met Nana, Sean, and Mamaw Ann downtown for lunch and to play at the splash park.

This past weekend we had the chance to go to the lake and spend some time with some adult company. We had a great time hanging out with our friends. Thanks to the Callihans for the use of the cabin!!! It was great and we really appreciate it.
This was also Ethan and Emma first sleep over. They stayed the night with Papaw Butch and Mamaw Jayne. Papaw came to Ethan's soccer game with us Saturday morning and then took the kids with him and we left straight from there for the lake. They went to a car show and then went home and got in the pool. They took them out to dinner and said that they did great, even at bedtime. Papaw got them ready for church and then Nana came and picked them up and took them to church and then back to her house until we got home. Thanks so much Papaw, Mamaw, and Nana!

The picture above is of the men in the lake. They couldn't understand how we could talk for that long. We saw first hand, and found it quite interesting, that the men always had to be doing something and the women could just sit and talk.

We went out on the boat for a "three hour tour" of the lake. This was Amy's first and longest excursion out on the boat.
