Family: September 17

Today is Wednesday and Mommy is still off of work. In fact, they just called off school for the rest of the week. There are still 152,000 people here without power and 41 schools still in the dark. We are all enjoying the break but I do feel sorry for those in the dark. My grandparents haven't had power since Sunday and Mamaw Jayne and Papaw Butch just got their power back. We had their food and Mamaw Dolly and Papaw Frank's food in our freezer/refrigerator.
Daddy has finished the swingset. Ethan loves his birthday present. The above picture is of Ethan climbing the ladder Daddy built. Daddy is so proud of the rope handrail that he made.

Here is Ethan in the clubhouse looking out of the telescope. That is one of his favorite things about the swingset.

And of course, he will swing all day long as long as someone will stand there and push him. Hopefully with this in our yard he will learn to swing himself sometime soon.

This evening, Mommy practicing making Ethan's birthday cake. We wanted one for his actual birthday tomorrow anyhow. We are taking him to Chuck E Cheese (hopefully, if they have power!) and we will take this cake with us. Benjamin really like the black icing. Mommy kept squirting it into his mouth.
