July 9

Today was a big day in the basement. Mommy and Daddy cleaned everything up (again) and got the basement ready to paint. Daddy used a paint sprayer to paint the basement. It is much quicker than painting by hand but as you can see from the picture above, it leaves a lot of paint fumes in the air. The picture above is of the walls after Daddy got done putting primer on them.
Doesn't daddy look cute? Now all he needs is a blaster that shoots out green goo. "I ain't afraid of no ghost!"
This is the color that we chose for the bathroom. Really Mommy chose this color. It is called awesome violet. We went with something neutral and light for the rest of the rooms so Mommy wanted something to liven things up a little down stairs.
This is the office and the color that the whole basement minus the bathroom is. It is called rice grain. Nice and light and nuetral. We are really making progress and it is starting to look like livable space.
Mommy and the kids didn't do much today. We went out this morning to run some errands and visit with Mamaw Ann and then this evening we went across the street and swam with Benjamin.

I just need to start having you pick out my paint colors. You're much better at it than I am.

And at least now you know what Joey will look like in about 40 years!

I should be as much as we paint around here. I think that we will be done for a while now.
